My Pot Boileth Over…

November 20, 2009

So I am finally getting around to writing- needless to say, things have been a little crazy lately but wonderful. I love having two girls and I really think that for  now Kay is digging being a “little” sister. The only difficulty we are having with her is that she wants to hold Fiona all the time. We keep waiting for the honeymoon to be over but maybe we have gotten lucky! (It’s amazing that I would use the word “lucky” in regard to anything that has to do with my pregnancy.)

My delivery went really well- she pretty much slid right and and was yelling at everyone before she was even all the way out. Patrick said that was a little freaky but reassuring. We were even able to go home the next afternoon, the hospital was great about discharging us so quickly since I had been there for so many days for the couple of weeks prior to her birth.

My favorite parts so far are being able to say “my girls” and just having one more person in the house to keep me company while I go insane from all the hormones, even if she is a lump on a log (or my boob) for now. I also love my Graco swing that we got for Fi, it had come out 3 or 4 weeks after Kay was born and I swore I was going to have another child just for this swing. And Fi loves it too- like mother, like daughter!

It is also a gift to me that Kay is regressing, especially since she seems so big compared to our little june bug. She is wearing tutus and drinking out of a bottle and wanting to be rocked all the time. I LOVE IT!!! I am so grateful for the  way Heavenly Father designed children, it seems like there is mercy everywhere- especially for neurotic, clingy parents like me.
